| Notes: |
Corinthians give the visitors a good battle for much of the match. 2 Referee Scott Campion awarded Corinthians a free kick for a back pass by Daniel Lace being picked up by Peel 'keeper Will. Mitchell - eventualy converted by Daniel Gerrard through crowded penalty area. 4 Terry Rigaux sped down the left wing and put the ball inside to John Myers who equalised at the second attempt, the first effort coming off the 'keeper Joe Kelly. 26 Peel fail to clear their lines and Max Neal fires the home side ahead once more with a shot on the turn. 32 Further indecision in the visitor's defence allows Neal to volley in his second goal of the game. 39 Peel this time awarded a free kick for a back pass handled by the goal keeper. Daniel Bell short pass to John Myers who in turn squares the ball to Lee Gale who side foots the ball in. H-T 3-2 to Corinthians With Robert Cottier marshalling young defenders Andrew Crennell and Matthew McQuarrie well (the latter making his first team debut) Peel gradually assume the ascendancy playing up the slope. 26 Peel take a corner on the right. 'Keeper Joe Kelly collects the ball; however he carries it over the line whilst in his possession and a goal is awarded. 35 Gary Christian sets John Myers free on the left wing with a long ball up the line. Myers cuts the ball in low from the bye line and Terry Rigaux completes the move with a slight deflection off a defender. 44 A free kick was headed back across goal and Kerron Chrisitan blasted in the final goal of the match F-T 5-3 to Peel |
