After 5 minutes Peel opened the scoring when a pass from Kerron Christian found Terry Rigaux at the far post and he finished well with a header into the bottom corner. This should have set Peel up for a comfortable win as they completely dominated the first half, creating chance after chance... but again their profligacy in front of goal was their undoing.
Half-Time. Ramsey 0 Peel 1.
Peel's profligacy was made to pay early in the second half when Ramsey equalised in the 51st minute, with a shot into the top corner, which Kelvin Dawson lost in the strong sun above the main stand.
This stirred Ramsey who came on stronger as Peel became decidedly nervy, edgy and disjointed in their play. Ramsey were taking control of the midfield as Peel lacked a holding player in this area.
The introduction of Daniel Bell halfway through the second half seemed to help to galvanise Peel and they started to create chances, but again the lack of a natural goalscorer continues to haunt the Club.
The game ended 1-1 with a further 2 points lost in our quest for the Premier League title.
